Once the sand is mixed, it can never be separated again, and so the meaning behind this is that "the married couple will never be one again. From now on, they will live together as one family." The presentation is simple, but the meaning behind it is romantic and grand. It is a symbol of the start of a new life.

The front can be engraved with the vows and the names of the bride and groom. The silhouette can also be cut out from a photo of the couple.
